North American Interconnect Achieves C-TPAT Certification

U.S. Customs and Border Protection recognizes NAI as a certified C-TPAT partner, resulting in a more secure supply chain and expeditious delivery of goods to end customers.

SCOTTSDALE, AZ, January 25, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- North American Interconnect today announced that it has received C-TPAT Certified Status for both its Mexico and U.S. facilities.

C-TPAT is an acronym for Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism. It is a voluntary government-private sector partnership created by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in 2001 designed to strengthen supply chain and border security. An organization can apply for membership once it is able to provide evidence of adherence to the strict C-TPAT security criteria.

In addition to a more secure supply chain, NAI will enjoy other benefits from membership including:

- Reduced CBP inspections resulting in fewer delays at the border
- Priority processing for CBP inspections
- Access to C-TPAT supply chain security training

NAI enhanced security processes in all of its facilities to successfully meet these requirements. Preston Speers, Chief Executive Officer of NAI, commented "This partnership exhibits NAI's commitment to security measures that ensure the integrity of our supply chain. It enables us to continue our pledge of providing our customers with world class quality, service and delivery." He added "We recognize that this will not only expedite processing times for shipments but it will allow NAI to contribute to CBP's initiative of securing U.S. borders and we are proud to support that role."
