NaviGroup, a 31-year-old family-operated company is using CareConnect at its flagship White Oaks community in Michigan and at its Governor's Pointe, Governor's Village and Victorian Oaks communities in Ohio.

Concurro helped NaviGroup to implement CareConnect in just two weeks, including training its executive directors and lead caregivers who then trained the rest of the staff. According to Randall, they're finding the system easy to use, particularly because of the touch screen monitors Concurro recommends, and are very excited about the difference it's making.
One difference, Randall reported, is an elevated sense of professionalism among the staff, as they find themselves using industry-leading technology for a new level of contribution to care quality. With an improved ability to record and compare changing care needs and actual assistance with care plans, residents benefit as does the business.
"By using the CareConnect Community Management System, we're able to demonstrate to families that we're delivering on our promises. At the same time, we're capturing higher levels of unplanned daily care that were not always being recorded and billed for in the past," said Randall. A further attraction of CareConnect for NaviGroup is that additional modules will soon be released that integrate seamlessly with the basic CareConnect Community Management System. These include medication management, a community relations module, and preventive maintenance, as well as an interactive community website that features activity calendars, newsletters, resource libraries and a family portal for enhanced 24/7 interaction and communication among families, residents and staff. Another time-saving security enhancement will include fingerprint scanning for authorized log-in.
