WESTON, FL, May 6, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dr. Mazyar Rouhani, Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Florida, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in health care.

Hardworking and detail oriented, Dr. Rouhani has served the health care industry for 12 years. He possesses a strong academic background and worked as an assistant professor at St. George's University Caribbean Medical School, Florida Atlantic University's Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine, and Florida International University's Herbert Wergeim College of Medicine. He has also held the directorship of emergency medical services for both the Town of Davie and the City of Miramar in Florida.

Now the medical director of emergency medicine at Cleveland Clinic Florida, Dr. Rouhani continues to exercise his expertise in emergency room clinical duties. In addition, he takes on administrative tasks and performs quality assurance inspections. Moving forward, he intends to experience professional growth.

Dr. Rouhani, who earned an MD from the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami, completed his residency at the Vanderbilt University and Medical Center's department of emergency medicine. He then became certified through the American Board of Emergency Medicine. He holds memberships to the American Academy of Emergency Medicine and the American College of Emergency Physicians, and supports the American Red Cross.
