NAUGATUCK, WV, May 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dolores Conley, Master Mentor and Teacher at Tug Valley High School, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in education.
With more than three decades of experience as an educator, Ms. Conley specializes in classroom management. She has served as a teacher at Tug Valley High School for the past 22 years. The department chair for business education, she teaches topics such as keyboarding, office management and entrepreneurship. She is responsible for developing and organizing curricula, utilizing project-based learning and assessing her students. During her career with the school, Ms. Conley has helped to implement a behavioral intervention forum in place of school suspension, sponsored an academic quiz bowl for 10 years, and served as the newspaper adviser. She is a supporter of The National Writing Project and a site coordinator at Sasin School, where she incorporates new lessons into classrooms.
Additionally, Ms. Conley holds a master mentor certification. She has used her expertise to help numerous teachers develop and improve their classroom organization, lesson plans, and educational services to their students. She is a member of the development team for Solutions Site, a website designed to assist teachers worldwide in classroom management and curriculum development. Ms. Conley's effort to impart her knowledge to fellow teachers has affected the lives of countless students.
Ms. Conley earned a Master of Science in education, with 45 additional credits, from Marshall University in 1989. She holds a business education professional permanent license and is a member of the National Education Association. Outside of work, she supports numerous Native American organizations, including the Southwest Indian Foundation and the Dakota Indian Foundation.
