Zero Friction Golf Tees Used For Longest Drive of Re/Max World Long Drive Championship and Claim Victory in Four Separate Divisions

The Excel Golf Tee Company, manufacturer of the "Winningest" high performance golf tee announced today that a Zero Friction Golf Tee was used to launch a 389 yard drive, the longest drive of the Re/Max World Long Drive Championship and captured four individual long drive titles.

/24-7PressRelease/ - NORTH TUSTIN, CA, November 30, 2006 - Last year the Excel Golf Tee Company was elated with the amount of Zero Friction Golf Tee exposure they gained during the four-day Re/Max World Long Drive Championship. ESPN provided great coverage and the Zero Friction Golf Tee logo was seen on every tee box. Pleased with these results, the company decided to sponsor the event for a second year but what a difference a year makes. This year the company is astounded by how accepted and effective the Zero Friction Golf Tee was during the championship.

During the Open Qualifying, a Zero Friction Golf Tee was used to blast a drive 389 yards. This was the longest drive of the entire event. This long drive professional relied on the Zero Friction Golf Tee all week to qualify for the finals where he sealed his fifth Re/Max World Long Drive Championship title in the Open Division, set a new record and received the largest purse of the event.

In the Ladies Division, a player used a Zero Friction Hardwood to launch a 326 yard, 13 inch drive to lock in her victory. In the Super Senior and Senior Division a Zero Friction Golf Tee was used to out drive the competition and claim first place. The winners of the Celebrity Long Drive Championship both used the Zero Friction Golf Tee.

"We at Excel are thrilled by the response we received from the pros, amateurs, and celebrities out at the Re/Max World Long Drive Championship," said Mike Herron the Business Development Manager for Excel Golf Tees, Inc. "Not only did we capture four victories but 92% of the competitors use our Zero Friction Golf Tees to launch their best driving distances. 100% of the Celebrities used a Zero Friction Golf Tee, 100% of the Super Seniors used a Zero Friction Golf Tee during the semi-finals and finals, 100% of the Seniors used a Zero Friction Golf Tee during the quarter-finals and semi-finals, 75% of the Open Division used a Zero Friction Golf Tee during the quarter-finals, and lastly, 50% of the Women's Division used a Zero Friction Golf Tee in the finals. These numbers are amazing."

The acceptance and usage of the Zero Friction line of Golf Tees at the Re/Max World Long Drive Championship can be attributed to its three-prong design. It provides less resistance between the golf ball and the golf tee for longer, straighter drives. Its reduced spin rate fights dispersion, thereby keeping the ball on line and in the fairway.

THREE TIME LONG DRIVE CHAMPION SEAN "THE BEAST" FISTER RENEWS ZERO FRICTION GOLF TEE CONTRACT

Last year, the Excel Golf Tee Company signed Sean "The Beast" Fister to represent Zero Friction Golf Tees with its marketing, merchandising, and public relations programs. He successfully embodied the long drive message that Excel Golf Tees wanted for their Zero Friction Golf Tee line. He has been instrumental with the LDA and has helped flourish the relationship. Fister has confirmed he will be participating in the 2007 Re/Max World Long Drive Championship within the Open Division.
