Dr. Chicone has 25 years of professional experience and developed a passion for technology early in her life. After taking a high school computer mathematics class and a college-level Pascal course, she was certain of her future career path. Ms. Chicone first attended Youngstown State University, gaining her educational foundation in the form of a bachelor's degree in computer science. Later in her career, she went on to earn a Master of Science in technology from Kent State University and just last year, obtained a Ph.D. in applied computer science from North Central University.

For the last 12 years of her career, Dr. Chicone has worked for Notify Technology Corporation, a leading provider of wireless solutions and services that aid secure, synchronized e-mail and personal information management. She is the company's chief technology officer and the vice president of product development. Dr. Chicone works with the chief executive officer to form Notify Technology's strategy and vision. She also determines new products and features, and ensures that the internal technical functions of the business run smoothly. She specializes in software architecture and process management and considers keeping the technological arm of Notify Technology Corporation in Northeastern Ohio a number one priority.

Dr. Chicone was honored with an award for meeting national training standard 4011 by the National Security Telecommunications and Information Systems Security Council. She was also a contributing author for the book "Cybercrime, Cyberterrorism, and Cyberwarefare: Crime, Terror, and War without Conventional Weapons," which was published in October 2009. She is involved in a number of local charitable and developmental efforts, especially those which introduce girls to technology-related careers. She is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery; the International Association for Computer Information Systems; and Delta Mu Delta, the International Honor Society in Business Administration.
