MILLHEIM, PA, May 19, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Tere Rill, Publisher and Owner of The Women's Journal, Ltd., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in publishing and female empowerment.
Because she wanted to serve as a voice for all women, Ms. Rill formed The Women's Journal, Ltd. five years ago. She focuses her work on helping women and putting them in the spotlight. She also networks with business owners and helps them grow their enterprises through advertising and marketing efforts. In the journal, Rill lets businesses present themselves as experts in their respective fields as they address questions posed by the public and form relationships with customers, clients and patients.
The Women's Journal, Ltd. was recognized by the Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County with the 2008 Small Business of the Year Award. Ms. Rill believes that her accomplishments would not have been possible without her tenacity or the support of her family.
Ms. Rill's diverse education has also contributed to her success in the publishing world. She first earned an associate degree in nursing from Carl Sandburg College and later took education courses at The Pennsylvania State University. She holds a communications certificate from Loyola University in Maryland, as well as some graduate-level courses at George Mason University. Rill also holds an AHVRP certificate (only 5% of hospital volunteer directors achieve this certification) and financial certification from The College of William & Mary. She says her favorite is probably her judging certification from The American Association of Cheerleading Coaches and Administrators. She has been the President of the Penn State Cheerleading/Lionettes Dance Team Booster Club for the past ten years.
Rill is involved in Rotary International and church activities. She was named Volunteer of the Year by the Central PA Chamber in 2010. Furthermore, she is a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority and is active in her alumnae group. She intends to continue her work with The Women's Journal and encourage the success of other women for many years to come.
