"Apocalypse According To Doris" Highlighted At Akasha Metaphysical Film Fest, Carmel, CA; 6/25/11

Apocalypse According to Doris, the new film by Victor Goss has been highlighted as an official selection in the Akasha Metaphysical Film Festival featuring actress Lindsay Wagner as keynote speaker in Carmel, CA, June 24 through June 26, 2011.

SANTA MONICA, CA, May 22, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This unusual film about our uncertain times examines the potential dangers of foreseeing the end-of-the-world by charismatic personaiities and was recently reviewed in indieWIRE, the online independent film daily by Sydney Levine, a well-known quantity in the international film scene - and she comments: "Both funny and emotional, it deals with the paranormal and conscious awakening, challenging us about who we are, how we act, and the meaning of existence."

Writer/director Goss contends, "Everything you've heard about the so-called apocalypse" is WRONG, ...and after listening to all this catastrophobic fear mongering about end-times online and in other media, it's time for us to take a realistic view of this transformational epic we're living through - not only globally, politically, ethically, and spiritually, but to reflect on what it means to us personally."

Temporally caught in the stream between Roland Emmerich's "2012" and Von Trier's "Melancholia" APOCALYPSE ACCORDING TO DORIS finds solid ground to stand on, while it's main characters each face and survive their own personal apocalypse.

International distributor and rights manager Blairwood Entertainment represents worldwide rights and has premiered APOCALYPSE ACCORDING TO DORIS at the 2011 Cannes Marche du Film. All domestic rights are available.

APOCALYPSE ACCORDING TO DORIS is screening Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 3:10 PM in theater B of the Sunset Community Center, 9th Avenue and Carlos Street in Carmel, CA.
