Critical Information Network (CiNet), LLC, and its Professional Security Training Network (PSTN) announces the release of its newly updated Campus Security Training Series.

CARROLLTON, TX, June 23, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Critical Information Network (CiNet), LLC, and its Professional Security Training Network (PSTN) announces the release of its newly updated Campus Security Training Series. The interactive video and web-based training was created to offer campus security personnel and school resource officers the knowledge and skills needed to ensure safety and protect essential assets. PSTN's training curricula include real-world demonstrations and actual situations, greatly enhancing the learning experience and results.

"Our nation's schools must be safe havens for teaching and learning. Any instance of crime or violence at school not only affects the individuals involved, but also may disrupt the educational process, the school itself and the surrounding community" stated Mo Canady, Executive Director, National Association of School Resource Officers. "PSTN's Campus Security Training Series offers the security community the training they need to reduce the risk of violence and disruptive forces on our nation's academic campuses. NASRO is proud to support and participate in this vital training program."

This series addresses both routine and high profile events facing campus security professionals every day. With crime activity increasing in secondary schools and even elementary schools, PSTN now offers a course in Campus Security for Elementary, Junior High and High School. Topics of instruction include drug and alcohol activity, increased gun violence, bullying, non-students on campus, fights, vandalism and truancy.

Other courses included in the series are Fire & Emergency Response, Campus Awareness and Crime Prevention, Residence Hall Security, Report Writing, Crime and Incident Scene Protection, Legal Responsibilities, Special Events, Campus and Community Relations and Alcohol Abuse on Campus. The AICC/SCORM compliant content may also be used in conjunction with hands-on training, creating a comprehensive and effective blended learning approach.

"PSTN's new content format which includes interactive learning activities offers the student a vastly improved experience through a more instructionally sound platform, helping to achieve higher retention levels. We recognize the vital need to serve the growing challenges of campus security and we are proud to contribute to this critically necessary education" stated CiNet President and CEO Steve Albright.
