Hispanic E-Business Initiative Launches to Help Small Business Owners

The Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce is launching a new program, the Hispanic e-Business Initiative, to enhance the understanding and accelerate the adoption of Internet business solutions among home-based, micro and small companies.

SAN DIEGO, CA, July 07, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Small businesses today are growing like never before through the use of e-business or Internet business solutions. Unfortunately, the Hispanic small business owner is being left behind, despite that 60 percent of Hispanics are online and spending 217 percent more money than the average Internet user.

The Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce is launching a new program, the Hispanic e-Business Initiative, to enhance the understanding and accelerate the adoption of Internet business solutions among home-based, micro and small companies. In 2007, there were 2 million Hispanic-owned firms without paid employees. These companies accounted for 89 percent of the total number of Hispanic-owned businesses but only 20.5 percent of gross receipts.

"The Hispanic E-Business Initiative will offer small business owners training in business solutions that they will need to take ownership over their e-marketing plan and compete in today's e-commerce economy," said Tayde Aburto, Co-Founder, of the Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce. "A key program of the initiative is the "Empresa Digital" program. The program will provide valuable content in Spanish to help small business owners understand how to use Internet Business Solutions to make their business more competitive."

The initiative will provide different business seminars, workshops and training programs to support the adoption of Internet business solutions among Hispanic small businesses to help these become more efficient, productive and competitive through technological readiness, business sophistication and innovation.

The Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce is an online small business association focused on enhancing the competitiveness of the small business in the advancing digital economy.
