Domestic Violence Charity Announces Fat Burn America Tour: 100 Cities in 100 Days

Rich Tola and his team of celebrity yoga teachers and Hollywood film crew to visit all 50 states.

LOS ANGELES, CA, July 19, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- What does a passionate founder of a domestic violence charity do when he wants to raise awareness and promote a daily fitness program? Rich Tola, Founder and Chairman of the yoga-inspired nonprofit, The Boulevard Zen Foundation, would say "We're going on a 30,000 mile fundraiser, visiting all 50 states in 100 days. That's 100 cities in 100 days, producing trivia-filled travelogue videos including fat burning workouts that are based on yoga". Ambitious? Yes. Impossible? "Certainly not," says the former Wall Streeter turned actor-filmmaker whose film, Boulevard Zen, was the inspiration for the foundation.

Founded in 2009, The Boulevard Zen Foundation teaches yoga to women and children living in domestic violence shelters. Tola, a fitness and yoga master with degrees from Wharton and Kellogg, has taught more than 15,000 students. As for the foundation, "I saw a unique opportunity to help women and children re-build their self-confidence, self-awareness and self-esteem with the principles of yoga," says Tola.

As the primary financial source for the foundation, Tola donates his time and 10% of all DVD sales, including Boulevard Zen, Rich Tola's Yoga Survival Guide and 15 Minute Fat Burning Workouts. "We have a successful model to expand nationally," Tola says, "and our weekly yoga classes help stop the cycle of violence by strengthening their physical and mental well-being. It also helps reduce the $5.8 billion spent annually on health care costs associated with domestic violence. But to grow, we need help."

In preparation for 100 CITIES in 100 DAYS, Tola recently completed his web series, 5 Minute Fat Burning Workouts: 100 Workouts in 100 Days, and the preview, Hollywood Sneak Peek, both available on YouTube: www.youtube.com/boulevardzen. Soon, his team of celebrity yoga teachers and film crew will visit historic sites throughout America, posting 15-minute travelogue workout videos each day. 100 days in a row! "I want to create a movement," Tola says, "for the world - especially Americans - to burn fat while helping The Boulevard Zen Foundation change lives."
