Dr. Jorge Dorta-Duque Honored by Cambridge Who's Who for Excellence in Architecture and Design

    MIAMI, FL, July 22, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ --Dr. Jorge Dorta-Duque, President of Jorge Dorta-Duque, EAIA-FARA and J. Dorta-Duque Construction Co. Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in architecture and design.

Dr. Dorta-Duque has more than five decades of experience as an architect, general contractor and developer. He serves as the president, chief architect and designer of Jorge Dorta-Duque EAIA-FARA, an architecture and planning firm. In addition, he is president of J. Dorta Duque Construction Co. Inc. Dr. Dorta-Duque has completed a majority of his work in Hartford, Conn., Puerto Rico and the Bahamas. For a large part of his career, he devoted his expertise to the historic rebuilding and preservation of the art deco district in Miami Beach and the Fort Pierce oceanfront condominium communities. In recognition of his work, Dr. Dorta-Duque was honored by Cambridge Who's Who as a Professional of the Year in Architecture and Design in 2010.

Dr. Dorta-Duque holds a Ph.D. from the University of Havana. In 1980, he became the president of the Water and Sewer Company in Hutchinson Island, Fla., a position he held for 10 years. He is an emeritus member of AIA and holds membership to the AIA's prestigious College of Fellows. In the years to come, Dr. Dorta-Duque intends to continue with his companies and become a professor in the Orlando, Fla., area.
