BAYVILLE, NY, July 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Richard D. Florio, Managing Partner of Bayville Deli & Pizzeria, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in hospitality management.

Born to a family of entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry, it was only natural for Richard D. Florio to try his hand in business. Opened the year he graduated from high school, Bayville Deli & Pizzeria was a tiny establishment - measuring only 12 by 20 square feet. Over the years, the business has grown exponentially in size and now sits at over 2,000 square feet. Mr. Florio took over as managing partner in 2004 and has since established the eatery as one of the most recognizable and respected local haunts for a deli sandwich or a slice of pizza. In addition to managing restaurant operations, Mr. Florio is tasked with handling catering orders, overseeing bookkeeping and labor relations, and administering to customer service requests. He aims to ensure that all of the visitors to Bayville Deli & Pizzeria are satisfied with the level of service and enjoy a relaxing experience. Looking ahead, he intends to open another restaurant location in Bayville.

Aside from his involvement with Bayville Deli & Pizzeria, Mr. Florio is a member of the Bayville Volunteer Fire Company. For his efforts with the department, he was recognized among the top 10 percent of volunteer firemen involved in fire calls in 2005. Mr. Florio is CPR certified and holds TIPS certification as well as a certification in automated external defibrillation. He completed training in intervention procedures and emergency management.

Mr. Florio holds a bachelor's degree in hospitality management from the New York Institute of Technology, earned in 2009. He volunteers his time with the New York Islanders guest relations department and is professionally affiliated with the Bayville Chamber of Commerce, the New York State Hospitality & Tourism Association and the Society of Hosteurs.
