The summer before he was to enter law school, Dr. Baker volunteered with his father, who is a pediatrician, to work with a medical nonprofit in a Third World country. It was through this unofficial apprenticeship that Dr. Baker discovered his true passion: "I fell in love with the health care field and decided to become a doctor instead of a lawyer," he says. Fast forward five years and Dr. Baker has established himself in Hackensack, N.J., as a pediatrician with Riverside Pediatric Group. In addition to caring for patients seven days a week, Dr. Baker is committed to serving as Riverside Pediatric Group's Chief Pediatric Officer of Bergen County, N.J. He is also an attending physician of Pediatrics at Hackensack University Medical Center and teaches medical students and pediatric residents at UMDNJ..

Dr. Baker was honored with the Patient's Choice Award in 2010, the Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching at UMDNJ in 2008 and 2009, and the Arnold P. Gold Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching in 2007. A board-certified pediatrician and fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Baker holds an MD from Ross University and a Bachelor of Science in Liberal Arts from Georgetown University.
