    FORT WORTH, TX, August 30, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- A little before 6 am on Tuesday, June 14, Reina Cruz's son, Edward, woke up his mother to tell her he smelled smoke. Looking out the kitchen window of her second story apartment at The Crossing, Reina saw smoke.

"I was absolutely frantic to wake my husband, Samuel Gonzalez, daughter, and neighbors and get everyone out," said Reina. She called 911, hustled her family to safety, warned her neighbors and grabbed the papers she kept in a plastic folder by her bed.

Firefighters from The Saginaw Fire Department, arrived a few minutes later and quickly got the blaze under control. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
