The Wooten Company continues 75th anniversary with the Kinston Indians.

KINSTON, NC, August 03, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- In keeping with the "diamond" theme of its 75th anniversary, The Wooten Company celebrated the milestone with a special event at the Kinston Indians baseball game on Saturday, July 23 against the Wilmington Blue Rocks. The event was the second of three baseball-related celebrations at which the firm offered activities for local employees, clients and their families, while recognizing its achievements and its impact on the local community over the years.

One of the most reputable engineering, planning and architectural firms in North Carolina, The Wooten Company is commemorating its achievements over the past 75 years, including several in the Greenville/Kinston area. Over the years, the firm has consulted on or engineered: water supply infrastructure for the Neuse Regional Water and Sewer Authority (NRWASA); stormwater drainage and management improvements for the Cities of Greenville and Washington; Wastewater collection system improvements for the Greenville Utilities Commission, Pitt County, the City of Kinston, and the Towns of Grifton, Belhaven, and Ayden; water supply and distribution system improvements for Edgecombe County and the Towns of Bethel and Pink Hill; GPS and GIS mapping services for the Towns of Edenton and Beaufort; LEED Enhanced Commissioning for North Carolina Aquarium Pier at Nags Head; and several other projects that have made a substantial impact in the local communities.

"This was the perfect opportunity to celebrate our accomplishments in the communities surrounding our office in Greenville," said Bucky Moore, president of The Wooten Company. "For 75 years, our firm has been serving the infrastructure needs of communities all over North Carolina, and we wanted to take time with our client and employee families here to share in these successes."

In addition, the firm will also hold a commemorative picnic for all employees and families on October 3, The Wooten Company's actual birthday. They also held an invitation-only golf tournament in June for clients and employees to show its appreciation for the individuals and groups that contributed to firm's growth and success.
