Catherine Miller has assisted in solving major crimes throughout the National Capital Region

ROCKVILLE, MD, August 8, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Catherine A. Miller, NCR-LInX Program Manager at the Montgomery County Police Department, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in law enforcement.

Ms. Miller has served in the technology sector of public safety agencies for a total of 24 years and has developed extensive knowledge of program management, information technology management and intelligence information sharing. Currently, she works as the NCR-LInX program manager at the Montgomery County Police Department. Her responsibilities include handling all administrative and financial aspects of homeland security, coordinating with the Naval Criminal Investigation Service, and closely working with over 120 law enforcement agencies at all levels. Ms. Miller manages this highly complex and high-profile law enforcement data-sharing system used by thousands of police officers, investigators, crime analysts, and special agents.

Ms. Miller earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics, with an emphasis in computer science, from the University of Mary Washington in 1987. Additionally, she received a master's degree in technology management and information systems from the University of Maryland in 2009. She is a member of the Project Management Institute and is a certified project management professional through CompTIA. Ms. Miller is a member of the International Association of Chiefs of Police, as well as a board member for her local PTA chapter and committee co-chair for her local parent-teacher-student association. She plans to continue working with regional, national, and global law enforcement and intelligence information sharing systems in the future, including management of handheld solutions and connecting with other systems such as biometric, license plate reader, and advanced analytical systems.
