Dr. Fertig earned a DDS from New York University. He is a fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry and holds memberships to the New Jersey Dental Association and American Dental Association. He is also affiliated with the Middlesex County Dental Society, an organization for which he held the office of president for a time, and the Department of Dentistry at St. Peter's University Hospital in New Brunswick, N.J., where he served as chairman.
