Dobson | DaVanzo & Associates, LLC is a health economics consulting firm based in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area that conducts policy research to help payers and healthcare providers to develop, implement and evaluate equitable payment methodologies. Dr. DaVanzo brings over 20 years of experience, both as a provider and as an analyst to her work. She holds a Ph.D. in public heath from UCLA, where she was a Pew fellow. She received a masters degree in social work from NYU, and practiced psychotherapy for a dozen years, licensed in New York and California. She is a Phi Beta graduate in psychology from the University of Richmond. She also completed a two-year training program at The Southern California Psychoanalytic Institute. Her range of research expertise includes Medicare payment policy, socio-medical aspects of normal aging, qualitative and quantitative policy analyses. She has also modeled the monetary impact of proposed legislation and changes in Medicare program coverage. Additionally, she has considerable expertise in designing, fielding, and interpreting surveys. Earlier in her career in the 1980s, she worked on Wall Street. Dr. DaVanzo was the sixth woman to hold a seat on the New York Stock Exchange, and the first woman to run an independent floor brokerage firm.
