In recognition of her professional and philanthropic work, Dr. Loredo was recently selected as a VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who. Other formal recognitions that Dr. Loredo has received include a Women of Distinction Award from the Girl Scouts of Central Texas, a Hispanic Chamber of Austin Education Leadership Award, an Outstanding Professor Award from Sears Roebuck and Co., and a Minnie Piper Stevens Professor Award. She attributes her success to her management style, perception of the understanding of education, and the belief that everyone has the capacity to learn. She possesses more than four decades of professional experience.
Dr. Loredo holds a Ph.D. in educational administration from The University of Austin. She holds certifications in superintendency, middle-management, special education supervision, and early childhood special education.
