Sher Fertility Institute announced that it will be donating free In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatments to two couples and $1,000 IVF vouchers to all attendees at fertility education seminars in Dallas, TX on Sunday, October 2, 2011.

LAS VEGAS, NV, August 24, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sher Fertility Institute announced that it will be donating free In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatments to two couples and $1,000 IVF vouchers to all attendees at fertility education seminars in Dallas, TX on Sunday, October 2, 2011. The vouchers are the equivalent of a cash discount that can be applied to IVF treatment at Sher Fertility Institute - Dallas.

The donated IVF treatment cycles and vouchers are part of the Sher Fertility Institute's "Giving Back" Program, which includes the following initiatives and others:

- Donation of 17 IVF treatment cycles to deserving patients over the past two years. (The value of each donated cycle is approximately $10,000)
- Free egg freezing for cancer patients through their "Fertility Rescue" program.
- Free fertility evaluations at many Sher Fertility Institute offices.
- Free infertility seminars at locations throughout many parts of the country.

The seminar will feature presentations by fertility doctors Walid Saleh, MD, Medical Director of the Sher Institute's Dallas fertility clinic, and Geoffrey Sher, MD, Founder of Sher Fertility Institute. They will cover topics including infertility causes, fertility treatment options, male fertility, and breakthroughs in the field of Reproductive Medicine. In addition, the doctors will take questions from audience members in a "town hall" format, and speak with attendees one-on-one following the seminar.

"Most people take the ability to have children for granted, while there is another, less visible group that desperately want children, but can't have them without assistance," said Dr. Saleh. "Our hope is that we can help bring that joy to some of these couples."

Dr. Sher added, "We see so many patients who are in need of fertility treatment, but don't have the financial means to access the procedures needed to start their families. This is our way of easing the burden for at least a few of them."

Those who would like to register for one of the seminars can find information on the Sher Institute website at www.haveababy.com.

Helping patients gain access to treatment has long been a driving philosophy of the Sher Institute. During the last three decades, Dr. Sher and the Sher Institute have donated hundreds of free fertility treatments to patients and couples from all over the country.
