LessonGroup Launches New Venture, Kicking Off with $1,000 Tutorial Contest

As an incentive to attract new authors, LessonGroup announced their launch with a Tutorial Contest. $200 cash will be awarded for the best overall tutorial in any category. Other entries that are judged acceptable will receive $25 each, to the total.

BOWLING GREEN, KY, August 24, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Founded by William Cross, Terry Van Horne and Sheldon Campbell, LessonGroup is a repository of knowledge, designed to provide a library of the highest quality how-to tutorials in text, video and ebook format, covering a wide variety of categories.

The business model is based upon the premise of providing a source of top quality tutorials to users wishing to learn new skills, and a location for authors to market their products effectively. Tutorials are carefully reviewed per strict editorial standards, and pricing is set by LessonGroup's review staff.

Sales are handled on the LessonGroup website, with a sliding-scale percentage going to the site. As sales of an author's products increase, so does his/her portion of the purchase price. Purchasers are also able to post reviews of products they have purchased, which can bolster the author's credibility.
