(ASCP) S.H., C.L.S., Medical Consultant at Siemens Healthcare, Inc., has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in general surgery and surgical oncology specializing in the abdomen; immunology; endocrinology and maternal screen; and minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Sayegh received a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Mobile in Mobile, AL, a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology from Anderson Memorial Hospital School of Medical Technology in Anderson, SC, a Master's Degree in Health Sciences, with a concentration in Hematology and Oncology, from American University in Coral Gables, FL; and was awarded a Doctor of Medicine Degree with Honors from the American University School of Medicine in Coral Gables, FL. His postgraduate coursework was in General Surgery at Los Angeles County/University Hospital, Los Angeles, CA.

Dr. Sayegh has over 20 years of experience in the fields of medicine, research, surgery and clinical laboratory science. His background includes extensive Immunology, Hematology/Oncology, Endocrinology, Maternal Screen and Minimally Invasive Laparoscopic Surgery experience. He held key consulting positions focused on multiple laboratory disciplines, in both hospital and reference laboratories.

Dr. Sayegh identifies key disease areas in the market and collaborates with external and internal scientists to have the highest potential for generating innovative products. He provides long term scientific and clinical input into the strategic planning process for disease panels and participates in major IVD and medical annual meetings/expositions. He also provides technical support for field personnel as well as internal and external clients. He frequently provides invited talks to key opinion leaders, academic institutes, laboratory personnel and medical doctors by way of power point presentations, publications, white papers, seminars, and internal and external training including CEU and CME accredited topics.

Dr. Sayegh holds certifications as a California Clinical Scientist and Florida Clinical Laboratory Supervisor. He is Board Certified in Clinical Immunology and as a Hematology Specialist. He is also a Board Eligible General Surgeon.

Dr. Sayegh has now joined The Disease State Management (DSM) Program as a Medical Consultant/Senior Clinical Disease State Specialist with a focus on Allergy, Immunology, Endocrinology, Cardiology, Oncology, and Infectious Diseases.

In recognition of his impressive achievements, Dr. Sayegh received the Lorraine O'Hare Award for dedication to residents and ongoing spirit of recovery from Palladia, Inc. in 2007, the Premier Medical Center Award of Achievement from the medical staff, and the St. Mary's Hospital Certificate of Excellence Award. He is listed in Who's Who among Students in American Universities and Colleges, made the Undergraduate Dean's List, and received a Medical Microbiology Certificate of Excellence Award from American University.

Dr. Sayegh is a member of the American Medical Association, American Society for Clinical Pathology, The American Association of Immunologists, American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, American Association for Clinical Chemistry, State of Florida Clinical Laboratory Business and Professional Association, and Clinical Laboratory Management Association. He served as medical school senior year Class President.
