Press Release October 3, 2011
Ms. Apple celebrates three decades of success in human services - mental health care and life coaching

Lexington, KY, October 03, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeri Apple, Women's Life Coach, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in mental health care.

Dedicating her life to helping others achieve success, Ms. Apple has operated a private practice in psychotherapy and coaching for 30 years. Through this practice, she provides individual coaching to women challenged by common obstacles in life such as aging, fertility and illness. She specializes in helping women use transitional points in their lives to motivate them to move ahead and integrate their personal and professional lives into a new and energetic lifestyle that has meaning, balance, and purpose.

Ms. Apple's life coaching approach allows coaching to move back and forth between the topics of personal and professional lives with a theme of overall wellness incorporated. Her life coaching model is client-centered and based on adult and family developmental stages. There is no "one size fits all" but an individualized approach to each clients' talents, strengths, life lessons and challenges.

Ms. Apple describes herself as logical, intuitive, and skillful in the keys to bring about change for personal and professional growth and development. She is a former psychotherapist who provided counseling and therapy to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. She is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She is certified as an Approved Consultant in clinical hypnosis with the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis. She co-authored Children of Divorce Education Program for Divorced and Separated Parents, which has operated as a court-mandated program in numerous judicial courts for 20 years. She also provides training in hypnosis for licensed mental health and medical professionals.

Jeri's own life experiences influence her coaching approach towards resilience. She has gone through the deaths of two spouses, single parenting, and renewal in marriage and career.

She has been an entrepreneur in her own business, and owned and managed two family businesses following the major life events of death. She tells clients, "that from both my life experiences and my ability to transition personally and professionally "in a wink" and "land on my feet" in a new and energetic life, there is nothing that alarms me. Wherever they are, I can go there with them and help them to go forward and create or re-invent their personal and professional lives in a balanced, purposeful, and "health-full" life."

Outside of her practice, Ms. Apple also developed and served as director for the Tanner Women's Center, the preeminent women's health center in west Georgia. With a focus on wellness, the center is designed to serve as a resource for women who want to become more proactive about their health. She also co-founded Children of Divorce, a state-approved education program for divorcing parents. Her empathy for children and in-depth understanding of family dynamics served her well as she created this interactive, awareness-raising program to help parents navigate the sometimes murky waters of divorce.

Ms. Apple is a graduate of Lamar University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in sociology. Following this, she earned a master's degree in clinical social work from The University of Houston. Ms. Apple maintains affiliations with the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, the National Association of Social Workers, the International Coach Federation, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts and the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis in order to stay abreast of discoveries and developments in her field.
