Dr. Stroup has accrued 30 years of professional experience, including with her tenure as owner of Data for Solutions, Inc., for the past five years. She specializes in providing skilled data analysis for complex problems through conventional and innovative research methodologies. Additionally, Dr. Stroup works with international organizations, academic institutions, and health care organizations, as well as with individuals, to conduct statistical analyses for government and business needs or issues. She is the author of more than 200 articles, 25 chapters, and five books. Previously, she worked in the biomedical research service field.

A graduate of Princeton University, Dr. Stroup earned a Ph.D. in statistics in 1980. To further her education, she received a Master of Science in community medicine from the University of Cambridge in 1990. Additionally, she holds a Master of Arts in statistics from Princeton University, a Master of Science in mathematical statistics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University, awarded magna cum laude. Dr. Stroup holds an advanced certificate from the Public Health Leadership Institute. Her many professional distinctions include being elected as a fellow of the American Statistical Association, elected as a member of the American Epidemiological Society and designated as an honorary member of the Epidemic Intelligence Service.
