The WFPF (World Freerunning Parkour Federation) Releases its New Parkour Shoe - the KO "Gen 2" Parkour Shoe - Available on www.KnowObstacles.com & www.WFPF.com

After the success of their first KO (Know Obstacles) Parkour Shoe, the WFPF (the world's leading Parkour organization who brought you MTV's Ultimate Parkour Challenge) relaunches the second generation of the KO Parkour Shoe!

LOS ANGELES, CA, November 04, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Destroy this shoe!

The WFPF (World Freerunning Parkour Federation), yes this is the organization that brought you MTV's Ultimate Parkour Challenge, is pleased to announce the release of the KO (Know Obstacles) Parkour Shoe "Generation 2" !! "Boxes and boxes of the 'KO Gen 2' are in the WFPF warehouse and ready to roll", says a WFPF spokesperson. "The KO Gen 1 was a huge success, and so after making some improvements to the design based on comments from our customers in the Parkour community, we decided it was time to come out with the Gen 2!" The "KO Gen 2" will be launched on November 7th, 2011. And this time the KO Parkour Shoe will go up to a size 12, to fulfill the demand of all those "big foots" in the Parkour world!

The KO is not only one of the top selling Parkour shoes on the market, but it continues to be one of the most affordable as well. Ringing in at just under $40 for the "Gen 1" and just under $45 for the "Gen 2", the WFPF manages to maintain its policy of trying to listen to and fulfill the needs of the worldwide Parkour/Freerunning community, by providing an affordable, high performance Parkour shoe. "The first KO Parkour shoe came about after several freerunners told us that they could not afford 90% of the training shoes out there, and that nobody from within the Parkour community had made a shoe for the Parkour community. That's all it took," says one of the WFPF founders, "and like it or not, we knew we were going to have to make a Parkour shoe! We asked those same freerunners if what we had in mind would be an affordable shoe to them, they said 'Yes' , and so, the KO Parkour shoe was born."

The KO Parkour shoes were first seen being worn by WFPF athletes on MTV's ULTIMATE PARKOUR CHALLENGE! "It was a great vote of confidence for the 'KOs' when Pip (Andersen) won his first UPC episode the day he wore his first pair of KOs", laughs one of the WFPF founders. "Pip called them his 'magic' shoes! After he won, one of the spectators asked him, 'What are those shoes', and when he found out that they were made by the WFPF, and not one of the "big brand" shoe companies, he said, 'Oh, then it's an 'indie' Parkour shoe, I like that! " The shoe is so "indie" that, for now, it can only be bought on the WFPF's website (www.wfpf.com) and on the WFPF's dedicated KO-Gear site (www.KnowObstacles.com)

"We did have to raise the price by a few dollars on the KO 'Gen 2'", says a WFPF spokesperson. "It's unfortunate, but the price of materials and shipping has gone up since last year, and so we reluctantly made the price adjustment. But we are committed to keep the price as low as we possibly can, to get them on as many feet of as many freerunners as we can!"

Reviews of the KO Parkour shoe (see below) have been popping up in the past year, so it seems that the KO brand is on the minds of many people these days.
