Carroll Scogin-Brincefield Recognized for Excellence in Appraisal Services

CALDWELL, TX, November 9, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carroll Scogin-Brincefield, Chief Appraiser for the Burleson County Appraisal District, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in appraisal services.

Ms. Scogin-Brincefield's love for her home state has served as a motivating factor in her successful career. She is a native of Corpus Christi, Texas; her family came to Texas in the early 1800s and settled in DeWitt and Lavaca County. Today, Ms. Scogin-Brincefield utilizes her expertise in appraisals and negotiations in her role as chief appraiser for the Burleson County Appraisal District. Her position entails measuring properties for tax purposes, following guidelines set by the Texas comptroller, overseeing eight employees and handling public relations for the organization.

Furthermore, Ms. Scogin-Brincefield recently co-wrote a book on Texas Reconstruction titled ""Quotations Still The Arena of Civil War, Violence and Turmoil in Reconstruction Texas 1865-1875," which is due to release shortly.

A graduate of Central Missouri State, Ms. Scogin-Brincefield holds a master's degree in history and geography and a Bachelor of Science in history and anthropology. She is a registered professional appraiser and affiliated with the Burleson Historical Association, Daughters of the Republic of Texas, Texas Historical Commission, Texas State Archeology Association and American Anthropological Association. Looking ahead, Ms. Scogin-Brincefield plans to pursue teaching opportunities related to the appraisal field.
