Motivated by her interest in botanical medicines, Dr. Tam-Zaman has built a 15-year career in the pharmaceutical industry. Five years ago, she founded Sinoveda Canada Inc., and serves as the vice president of international and regulatory affairs. Her experience in the field has given her a proficient knowledge of pharmacokinetics. Responsible for international affairs, Dr. Tam-Zaman works with distributors overseas and in Canada. In addition, she applies for product licenses and develops marketing operations.

Aspiring to provide a new generation of health solutions, Dr. Tam-Zaman has attained outstanding educational credentials to advance in the pharmaceutical industry; she has completed a Ph.D. in pharmacokinetics from the University of Alberta. She has also earned a Master of Pharmacy, with first class honors, and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. She has showcased her expertise in numerous scholarly articles, including "Composition for Prevention of Hepatic Steatosis." Dr. Tam-Zam is a member of CAHS and was previously affiliated with the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists. She has proven herself a standout amongst her peers by being honored with a Graduate Research Trainee Award, Marie Louise Imrie Award by the University of Alberta, and the BioAlberta Scientific Achievement and Innovation Award in November 2011.
