Ms. Sonni has four years of experience as the owner of Plum Creek Soaps, a family owned and operated company that uses natural materials in the manufacture of handmade soaps and body products for individual, retail and wholesale use. The products are made with such ingredients as goat's milk, honey, oatmeal, and dried herbs. A former environmental educator, Ms. Sonni strives to produce eco-friendly products and never tests products on animals. Her responsibilities as the owner of the business include producing and packaging the products, managing the website, marketing, and advertising. She makes sure that all products are clearly labeled for those with allergies and skin sensitivities, and she can custom-make products to meet the specifications of her clients.

Plum Creek Soaps started as a hobby. Ms. Sonni found that making soaps and gift baskets for friends and family gave her great pleasure, and many recipients of her gifts asked her if she sold them. As Ms. Sonni says, "I could take a hint, and in 2007, Plum Creek Soaps was born." She attributes her success since that time to her ability to translate a customer's wants into a product he or she will love, provide a natural product that is affordable, and meet a customer's needs for specific products for a specific occasion. For example, she has created "ice cream and pickles" soaps for a baby shower and "crazy Halloween soaps." One of the highlights of her career was selling out of the latter item at a local crafts fair a few years ago, after a 6-year-old boy noticed a bar of black soap that had a plastic skeleton inside. He was so excited about his "find" that all of his friends asked their parents to buy them soap as well.

In 1996, Ms. Sonni earned a bachelor's degree in education from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. In the near future, she would like to have a presence in several local shops, and have her products be the first that come to mind when a special favor is needed for any type of party.
