ARMADALE, WEST LOTHIAN, UK, February 9, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Helen Campbell, Registered Homeopath, has been recognised by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in the practice of homeopathic medicine. She has also been chosen as a VIP Member for 2011-2012 and for inclusion in the prestigious Pro-Files Magazine.

Miss Campbell, after 38 years experience in Senior Financial Management in industry, commerce and the National Performing Arts, changed direction from accountancy to homeopathic medicine. Miss Campbell trained in homeopathic medicine from 1987 and has continued training at an advanced level throughout the next 21 years. She first became involved in this profession for personal reasons as a way to help herself with advancing arthritis and her daughters, both of whom have disabilities.

Helen Campbell works in private practice as a practitioner of homeopathic medicine offering consultations, talks and mentoring to those who come for treatment as well as those who wish to learn more about homeopathy. She has made it an important part of her new career to study with world-renowned experts and keep in touch with the development of homeopathic treatment throughout the world. She has worked as a volunteer in the Central Belt of Scotland for those with major problems or those who cannot afford commercial rates to help them improve their health.

To do this first she attended The Northern College of Homeopathic Medicine (MNCHM 1992) in Gateshead England and later completed advanced work with The Dynamis School (PCH 2000). Miss Campbell has been extending her higher education for more than half a century earning a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science at The Open University extending her knowledge of science. Back in 1953, she earned a Master of Arts in history and economics from The University of Edinburgh and in late 60's obtained a Fellowship with The Institute of Administrative Accountants.

Miss Campbell has always been active in her community from early student days till now. She is and has been a non-executive Director of Voice of Carers Across Lothian for three years. Previously she served on the Board of the West Lothian Chamber of Commerce for 6 years. From 1999-2005 she was elected to the Board of the Group of companies run by The Society of Homeopaths in the United Kingdom and served as their Finance Director.

Miss Campbell - now 80 - has very clear and positive objectives. These objectives are to facilitate individuals learning to use homeopathic medicines for First Aid, Acute and Chronic illness. Such knowledge can help people better understand what causes their health to go out of balance.

At this time in her life Miss Campbell would hope to find a suitable location for her library from around the world of nearly a thousand books relating to and about homeopathic medicine and how this can help us improve our lives and deal with the 21st century stresses, which have adverse effects on us. Helen Campbell's future work will include continuing to serve as a volunteer with local charities and individuals including continuing public debate with the media wherever possible.

Miss Campbell has been and is a Member of the Scientific and Medical Network Charity (SMN). SMN is a charity which fosters discussions on wider views of health on an international basis. Additionally, she a Fellow of the Royal Scottish Society for the Arts (Science and Technology Division) some years ago and that organisation provides an opportunity to meet those with similar interests locally. There are, of course, many opportunities - another area would be explaining to those in business how homeopathic medicine might well reduce their costs from sickness and stress. Self-help is the name of the game.
