VANCOUVER, WA, February 14, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sally Blye Eddy, Owner of Commercial Appraisal & Consulting Services LLC, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in commercial appraisals.

After purchasing her first 33-unit apartment house in 1977, Ms. Eddy with three business associates, Ms. Eddy became fascinated with the commercial real estate field. She also drew inspiration from her uncle, who used to purchase real estate in the Fisherman's Wharf area of San Francisco, California during the Great Depression. She has proudly served the real estate arena for 14 years, and currently is the owner of Commercial Appraisal & Consulting Services LLC. Ms. Eddy appraises properties on a contract basis to numerous financial institutions for the purpose of financing and loan monitoring and for attorneys and private parties for tax appraisals, estate planning, IRS reporting, and lease negotiations. Her areas of expertise are the coastal markets of Oregon, Washington and the Columbia River Gorge. Prior to entering the field of commercial appraising, she worked in the pulp and paper industry for 27 years when in 1967 she became the first female professional hired by Crown Zellerbach Corporation, a former Fortune 500 company of approximately 26,000 employees, In 1997 and 1998 Ms. Eddy worked as a Project Manager for Habitat for Humanity in Vancouver, Washington and led the work crews on the construction of five residences in Vancouver, Washington. One was an all women's build.

An alumnus of the University of Portland, Ms. Eddy received a Bachelor of Science in chemistry. She keeps abreast of the real estate industry as an associate member of the Appraisal Institute and a member of the National Association of Realtors. Previously, she served as chairperson for the Southwest Washington Private Industry Council, one of numerous former community based activities. In the future, she intends to spend her time concentrating on her appraisal business, SST Investments LLC, a family-owned residential rental business, playing some bridge, raising chrysanthemums and running on the beach with her Doberman puppy, Bella.
