COPIAGUE, NY, March 04, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Long Island Exchange columnist Cognac Wellerlane attended an event at Gizzi's lounge and music venue. Gizzi's is located on 16 West 8th Street in the West Village. Attending the event were many notable Manhattan residents, including comedians, actors, and entrepreneurs.

Amidst her interviews with many of the attendants, Wellerlane spoke with Scott O. Epstein. Epstein is a retired teacher and assistant principal who was on the New York City Board of Education for thirty-two years. He retired in 2002 and is also a publicist and photographer.

Among his talents, Epstein authored published works and co-wrote biographies. He is the top promoter in the bodybuilding and wrestling world, organizing autograph signings and events at Wizard World and ComicCon. As a talent broker he booked contestants on ABC Sport's "World's Strongest Man."

Epstein is the founder and executive director of Publicity Management Services, abbreviated PMS, and has promoted many Mixed Martial Arts and Ultimate Fighting Champion stars. He also worked with some of the girls from Baywatch as a talent booker. Epstein helped orchestrate the Pro Mr. World, Mr. America, Mr. United States of America, and Mr. New York City.

"...The project is very big that I'm working on right now," commented Epstein when speaking about his anti-bulling campaign. The not-for-profit organization has a slogan "Bullying...We're Kickin' it. Unite to Knock Out," printed on a red foam boxing glove. Epstein was inspired after hearing about the tragic suicide of a New York University student and got Michael Tyson and a former Ultimate Fighting Champion to help support the cause.

"I think it's very important," continued Epstein about the anti-bullying movement. He told Wellerlane about his find of a "No Bullying Zone" label while teaching rock climbing in Merrick.
