JACKSONVILLE, FL, March 9, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kandi M. Dietrich, MAC, SW, Chief Master-at-Arms and Instructor for the U.S. Navy, has been named a VIP member of Cambridge Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
Ms. Dietrich serves as a chief master-at-arms and instructor for the U.S. Navy, joining this branch of the armed forces 19 years ago. She is expert in homeland security, tactical movement, team tactics and defensive tactics, and teaches at the Center for Security Forces Mayport. She works with a staff of 10 active duty servicemen and 15 civilians and teaches advanced tactics, combat techniques, and seize and search courses. Before signing up for the military in 1992, Ms. Dietrich was a driver for Pony Express.
While Ms. Dietrich is currently serving in Mayport, Fla., she has been forward deployed twice and currently holds Top Secret/SCI Clearance. Attributing her success to her education, she became involved in her profession because she wanted to do something different with her life. At that time, only seven percent of all U.S. Navy members were females; today, 15 percent are women. Most of the men in her family have served in the U.S. Army.
In 1990, Ms. Dietrich earned a Bachelor of Arts in technical communications, with minors in psychology, English and theater, from St. Mary of the Plains College. In 2008, she earned Certification in Homeland Security from Saint Leo University. She is also a Certified Master Training Specialist. Ms. Dietrich is a member of The American Legion and the Patriot Guard Riders. She has made the Dean's List and received various merits from the U.S. Navy. Looking forward, Ms. Dietrich hopes to put her experience, talent and passion from the Navy to use. She plans to retire from the U.S. Navy in April 2012.
