Lucy Waldron Recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for Excellence in Animal Research and Product Development

LWT Animal Nutrition Ltd is an animal health and nutrition consultancy serving the animal feed and food industry. As the company's director and founder, Dr. Waldron draws on her 16 years of experience in the field and her expertise in a wide variety of animals and their nutritional needs, as well as her skill at research. She has experience working internationally in animal nutrition in more than 40 countries. In her leading role at LWT Animal Nutrition Ltd, she provides research services, commercial product development and scientific services to the animal nutrition, feed and related industries worldwide.

LWT Animal Nutrition Ltd was formed by Dr. Lucy Waldron in October 2009 as a solo business, following her success in her previous jointly-held consultancy business. Working with her is Dr. Shay Hill, who specializes in companion animal nutrition and has an excellent background in commercial pet food production, as well as running research trials. The company has recently invested in a new research unit for conducting feeding trials in multi-species, including horses, with the aim of providing robust data for clients at an affordable cost, whether in new product development, pure research or registration. LWT Animal Nutrition Ltd is closely linked to the Massey University's Institute of Nutrition, Food and Human Health, where Dr. Waldron is an emeritus associate researcher.

Attributing her success to her hard work, determination and quality client service, Dr. Waldron became involved in her profession because of her educational background. She completed a Ph.D. in animal nutrition in 1995 and holds a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in biological science, earned at the University of Lancaster in 1991. She is a member of the Nutrition Society of New Zealand and the UK, and the British Society of Animal Science. Dr. Waldron is affiliated with the World's Poultry Science Association and is the Editor in Chief of the World's Poultry Science Journal, as well as the Founder of the Journal of Applied Animal Nutrition. In the next few years, she intends to expand her client base in new product registration, especially in Europe, and increase her research capacity in New Zealand.
