LANSDOWNE, VA, April 5, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Nadja Giuffrida, Chief Executive Officer of Dextro, LLC, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in consulting.
As founder and CEO of Dextro, LLC, Nadja Giuffrida has helped transform lives, communities and markets. Dextro, LLC, is a consulting, training and IT company that serves Latin American governments and private corporations. At the core of everything that Ms. Giuffrida and Dextro, LLC undertake is the belief that knowledge, education and training—delivered in the right way—can solve almost any problem.
Ms. Giuffrida was raised in Juarez, Mexico, arguably the most dangerous, crime-ridden city in the world. After starting her first entrepreneurial effort at 16, she left college at 18 to begin her own international trade business: buying plastic scrap from factories in the U.S. to sell to plastic processors in Mexico; and selling loads of pumice stones cast-off during the iron mining process in Mexico to American jeans manufacturers that used them to "stone-wash" denim.
This success provided the seed money for Ms. Giuffrida's next venture, SINFIN, a Credit Bureau in Mexico.
When asked how her early years influenced her career, Ms. Giuffrida commented, "There is one consistent trait in entrepreneurs that I admire most: "bootstrapping." My parents and the environment that I grew up in were definitely "enablers" in my career, providing enough challenge so I could learn conflict resolution and the value of flawless execution."
Ms. Giuffrida leads the Dextro team in developing unique, highly customized training solutions for Fortune 500 companies doing business in Latin America. Dextro, LLC's business solutions are diverse and include: Process Analysis and Management; Organizational and Change Management; Growth and Profitability Strategies; Career Development and Workforce Training Programs; Network and Coalition Building.
One of Dextro, LLC's most significant contributions to Latin American businesses is its content management system, Ignithink (formerly DELP). Ignithink has been deployed to over 500,000 businesses in Latin America and is the world's largest source of online Spanish language educational content in the world.
Ms. Giuffrida has personally advised the U.S. and Latin American governments. She is a Mexican-American entrepreneur who has started several of her own companies and has helped numerous entrepreneurial efforts thrive. Her work with Latin American governments has lead to large-scale training and education efforts to decrease unemployment, drug dependency and crime.
She spends 80% of her time in Mexico and Latin America working on executive development and training for Fortune 500s as well as social tissue initiatives for federal governments. She is also a public speaker to young entrepreneurs, business owners and students.
Ms. Giuffrida's serial entrepreneurship background and vision are often compared to other successful business leaders that left a formal college education to start their own business, such as Bill Gates and Steve Jobs. She attributes her success to innovative ideas, flawless execution, networking, and great mentors. The opportunity given to her by the U.S. Department of State provided her with the platform to create her consulting firm.
Ms. Giuffrida continues to grow Dextro, LLC as the parent company for Willbelogist solutions consulting, and Ignithink, Dextro, LLC's e-learning platform. Ms. Giuffrida has also formed Thinkrs.org, a non-profit aimed at improving the lives of disadvantaged minorities. Thinkrs.org's first major undertaking is LaPlaza.net, a website devoted to Hispanic prosperity and the online home of the White House Hispanic Community Action Summits.
Ms. Giuffrida is a board member of the Industrial Club of Mexico City and a member of Mujeres en Plural. Latest awards for Ms. Giuffrida and Dextro, LLC include the 2012 Learning Leader Award in Knowledge Management from Bersin & Associates and the 2012 Computerworld Laureate. Both the Bersin and the Computerworld awards are in recognition of Dextro, LLC's work to evaluate the humanitarian benefits and measurable results of applying technology to meet a specific social need.
She is also one of the 2011 honorees for the Women of Distinction Award, National Association of Women Business Owners. In years to come, Ms. Giuffrida aspires to position her brand more aggressively. She would like to replicate it in other languages, and create a sub-brand that will be synonymous with the concepts of entrepreneurship, online consulting services and training.
