GARLAND, TX, April 17, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Joanna Swanson, president of Embracing Miracles, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in birth coaching and prayer counseling.

The mother of four children, Ms. Swanson discovered the difference a doula made in the birth of her second two children. After experiencing the joys of a birth coach, she wanted to help every other expectant mother in the same way. Thus, she formed Embracing Miracles. As a certified doula through DONA International, Ms. Swanson acts as a mother to pregnant women, nurturing them through the birth process, helping them find inner strength, and bringing them comfort both emotionally and physically.

As the president of Embracing Miracles, she has become a proficient birth coach. Not only does she support women throughout their pregnancies, but she offers delivery and postpartum care. Ms. Swanson oversees the entire organization, as well as its team members. She has also honed her skills in public speaking as she often conducts conferences, seminars, workshops and training programs.

In addition to her work with Embracing Miracles, she is a model and a certified prayer counselor through the Theophostic Ministry. The product of a broken and abusive home, she knows what it is like to feel alone and uncared for, and feels that unconditional love is the key to a fulfilling life and a sense of self-worth. She enjoys caring for people on an emotional, physical and spiritual level. She is very hands-on and equips others to become the best people possible.

Ms. Swanson is pursuing a master's degree in Christian psychology through Clarion Seminary. She already holds a diploma in advanced leadership and pastoral studies, as well as a license to preach, which was earned through Christ for the Nations Institute.

She has just published her first book "Making Disciples," a resource for parents and churches. It teaches about the five common styles, goals of parenting and how to equip children in great character. She has two more books awaiting release as well as a DVD entitled "The Doula Documentary." At the moment, Ms. Swanson is completing a workbook to accompany this DVD. In the upcoming years, she plans to do more traveling, speaking and writing.
