Dr. Kelesidis has seven years of experience in health care and three years of experience as a practicing doctor of cardiovascular medicine for Yeshiva University. His official specialty is in cardiology and he practices in internal medicine. He is tasked with providing patient care and doing cardiovascular research. He also has an interest in cardiac electrophysiology.

Born in Athens, Greece, Dr. Kelesidis has worked very hard during his academic career to fulfill his dreams of working in medicine in the United States. Firstly, he received his MD from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2004 where he received a commendation for ranking in the top one percent among other graduate students. That degree was the cinder block around which Dr. Kelesidis would build his professional career. When he came to United States, from 2005 to 2006, Dr. Kelesidis had the opportunity to hone his medical skills through a Postdoctoral research fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, Longwood Medical Area, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, Boston MA. He later received clinical training for a year as an intern at Bridgeport Hospital/Yale University from 2006 to 2007 and spent his residency at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY from 2007 to 2009. Since 2009 Dr. Kelesidis has served as a Cardiology Fellow at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, NY. In addition, he has been a Research Scholar and he is expected to earn a Master of Science in clinical research methods from the Clinical Research Training Program, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Bronx, NY.

Additionally, Dr. Kelesidis has a number of industry recognized certifications to his name. Dr. Kelesidis became a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine in 2009 and earned his Medical License for New York State in 2010. He has also earned the Testamur from the American Society of Echocardiography Board Exam in 2011 and the Testamur from the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology in 2012. He also holds membership in the American College of Cardiology Foundation, the American College of Physicians and the Heart Rhythm Society.

Dr. Kelesidis has also been recognized among the top in his field for up-and-coming physicians. He was honored with the Leo Davidoff Society Award, Outstanding Achievement of the Teaching of Medical Students, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University in 2009 and was honored with the Fellow of the Year Award for Outstanding Achievement of the Teaching of Medical House Staff, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University in 2010.

Dr Kelesidis has published multiple original articles and reviews in prestigious journals such as Annals of Internal Medicine and has presented his research at multiple national meetings.
