Ms. Towey has gained substantial work experience prior to her role as an executive coach. This includes a role as a marketing consultant at Keiler and Company; as vice president of marketing and managed care at Saint Vincent's Hospital and Medical Center; as executive director of Saint Vincent's Physician Organization; as Vice President of the Eastern Region for Private Health Care Systems, and multiple operational and marketing positions for Cigna Health Care. She was a critical care and trauma nurse for 8 years in the early days of her career. She attributes her success to being very goal oriented & hard working, planning her own career, and always following through on her commitments.

Ms. Towey attended the Graduate School of Nursing, University of Pennsylvania. In 1985, she received a master of arts in health care administration from the University of Connecticut. In 1980, she received a bachelor of science in nursing from the University of Maryland. She attended the Columbia Executive training program and has a certificate in Marketing and Product Development. She also is certificed as a professional coach after completeing the training program with Accomplishment Coaching.
