While inclusion in Worldwide Who's Who is an honor, only a small selection of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Who's Who membership.

Mr. Land is a successful self-made entrepreneur currently celebrating nearly 35 years in the field of property management. When he began his professional career, he knew that he did not want to work in corporate America, so he took a job in land and revenue property portfolio management. Five years later, he was then prepared to open Oakwood Management Ltd. At its helm, Mr. Land's objective was to ensure that the company remained in business and made a profit. That has now been the case for three decades. Mr. Land is proud of the relationships he has developed with his clients from all walks of life. He intends to continue to add value to Oakwood Management Ltd. and seek opportunities to grow and develop relationships.

Knowledgeable in the various disciplines needed to run a thriving business and licensed by the Real Estate Council of Alberta, Mr. Land attributes his success to his biblical world view by making Jesus Christ the object of his faith. A highlight of his career was being chosen as the only Canadian to do a preceptorship program at the University of Cincinnati Medical School while serving as a Hospital Special Service Representative with the William S. Merrell pharmaceutical company.

Mr. Land received his graduate diploma in applied arts, business administration and management from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology in 1970. He is affiliated with Hockey Ministries International, DTM (Distinguished Toastmaster) with Toastmasters International and the Edmonton Apartment Association. He serves as chapel leader for the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club, sits on the Board of Economic Development of the City of Fort Saskatchewan, is Chairman of the Board of Athletes International Ministries, Canada, and is a board member of Fort Saskatchewan's Downtown Revitalization Advisory Committee. Mr. Land is a former president of the NAIT Alumni Association and the Christian Education Association of Alberta, and a former board member of the Northeast Region Community Awareness Emergency Response organization.

Mr. Land still goes on trips with his children and special dates with his daughters and daughters-in-law as well as weekly dates with his wife. They are a close knit family, and his wife is now the longest living single lung transplant patient from the University of Alberta's heart lung transplant unit. December 5, 2011 marked 16 years since she received her transplant and the initial survival time was estimated to be between three and five years. As a family, Mr. Land believes they have been blessed beyond measure.
