He is currently the Director of Pharmacy at one of the Navy's largest medical treatment facilities, Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia, the "First and Finest" Navy Hospital, and was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. In addition to this recognition, Dr. de Lara is a Captain in the U.S. Navy where he has earned numerous decorations and awards, most notable is the Bronze Star Medal for his actions in Iraq in 2003 and 2004.
