ORLANDO, FL, June 09, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Florida veteran's attorney, Vanessa L. Brice, has a passion for helping veterans get the justice they deserve. The wife of a US Marine, attorney Brice has been stationed with her family in a number of national and international locations where she has become close with many active and former servicemen.

With a personal understanding of issues that affect veterans, Ms. Brice became a member of the legal team at Colling, Wright, Gilbert & Carter where she focuses her practice on ensuring veterans are treated fairly and provided with the resources they need to live happy and productive lives after service. Most recently, attorney Brice has been admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims (CAVC), further enabling her to secure for her clients the full benefits they deserve.

About CAVC

CAVC is a judicial body independent of the Department of Veteran's Affairs (VA) that reviews decisions regarding eligibility made by the Board of Veterans' Appeals (BVA.) Formed in 1988, CAVC is intended to give veterans a way to challenge benefit denials from the BVA in an independent court.

With exclusive jurisdiction over the BVA, CAVC judges are vested with the authority to decide all relevant questions of law as regards a veteran's right to receive benefits, even after denial from the BVA. This provides veterans with recourse when claims are denied, but the process for receiving benefits can be complex and will require the assistance of a dedicated veteran's attorney.

Why You Need an Attorney

To make a claim concerning issues of entitlement eligibility with CAVC, you must first file a notice of appeal. This notice must be filed within 120 days of denial from the BVA, and requires substantial information to pass the initial screening process.

Ms. Brice knows the intricacies of these proceedings. Combining her knowledge with her dedication to veterans' rights, attorney Brice can provide you with the legal counsel and resources you will need to make sure your claim is successful and you receive the maximum benefits you are entitled to.

If you have been denied benefits from the BVA in the state of Florida, please visit the website of Colling, Gilbert, Wright & Carter for more information on how Vanessa L. Brice can help ensure you are provided with the benefits you deserve.
