Williams, Ph.D., the Owner and Director of KJW Clinical Research Ltd. and the Owner and President of Karma Oncology Ltd., has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in clinical research and project management.

While pursuing a Ph.D. in bioengineering from the University of Strathclyde, in Glasgow, Scotland and working in the bioengineering unit, Dr. Williams had an opportunity to work on a clinical trial, which gave her the incentive to continue contributing to medical research efforts and devote her career to the management of clinical trials.

Working for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, Dr. Williams has successfully done just that for the past 25 years. An oncology expert, she has held key positions over the course of her career, including as Senior Director of Project Management and Clinical Operations at Sticares InterACT, Contract Lead CPM at Pfizer Oncology and Contract Senior Clinical Trial Leader at Novartis Oncology.

Motivated to branch out on her own following her continued success, Dr. Williams founded KJW Clinical Research Ltd. in 2003, a clinical research and project management consultancy. She is tasked with overseeing the firm's daily operations, including business development, strategic planning and client relations. Dr. Williams designs, sets up and manages clinical trials across the globe while personally ensuring the quality and integrity of the data. The subsidiary of her firm, Karma Oncology Ltd., provides the same services, but with specialisation in oncology clinical trials.

Although she became involved in her profession by chance, Dr. Williams attributes her success as a business owner and researcher to her passion for her work and always giving 110 percent. She is a chartered scientist and chartered biologist, is a fellow of the Institute of Clinical Research and member of the Society of Biology. Active in her community and with a love for animals, she also supports the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Cats Protection, WWF and the International Fund for Animal Welfare.

In five years, Dr. Williams intends to make a success of her oncology subsidiary and become a niche provider for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. To relax away from work, she enjoys reading, listening to rock music, fine wine, studying Egyptology and spending time with her cats.
