Offshore Group Podcast Examines Mexico Manufacturing Do's and Don'ts

    TUCSON, AZ, July 11, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Rob Phillips, vice president of global operations for the Santa Fe Springs, California-based, Phillips Industries recently recorded a podcast with The Offshore Group. The session addressed the "Dos" and "Don'ts" related to starting-up and maintaining manufacturing operations in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. In addition to examining the cultural issues related to achieving manufacturing success in Mexico, Phillips and Filiberto Coello, the Saltillo facility plant manufacturer, discuss details related to the city's business environment, as well as access to a trained and attractively priced workforce.

According to Phillips, "Saltillo is a sweetheart factory for us. We have a fantastic management team there. We have lower labor rates there than what you have in the U.S., especially in California.
