PITTSTOWN, NJ, July 12, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kathleen M. Farley, former vice president of U.S. Operations for Teva Generics, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in pharmaceutical operations oversight.

Ms. Farley has extensive global pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing and supply chain experience in both generics and branded proprietary drugs. She was most recently the Vice President of U.S. Operations for Teva US Generics responsible for all the solid dose and specialty drug products manufactured in the U.S. facilities. Additionally she was responsible for technical services, engineering and third party supply to support 18 billion doses, over 400 product families and $6 billion in sales. She had P&L responsibility of ~$500 million and close to 2300 employees. Prior to this, Ms. Farley was the VP Manufacturing Franchise Head for Merck from 2007-2009 responsible for the global end-to-end supply of Merck's top two franchises, Diabetes & Respiratory, representing close to $9 billion in sales. Ms. Farley spent over 10 years in Latin America and was the VP of Manufacturing Operations. She held full P&L resposnibility for over 1000 employees with a budget of $150 million supporting $1 billion in sales.

She is very commited to promoting the enhanced utilization of professional skills to empower women executives who are interested in furthering their success in management roles.

Ms. Farley became involved in her profession because of her interest in biomedical engineering. She attributes her success to her creative visionary skills combined with exemplary client relationship building skills. She received a master of business administration with a concentration in media and communications in 1991 from Fordham University and her BS in chemical engineering from Michigan State University with a minor in biomed engineering. She is a member of the Society of Women Engineers.
