/24-7PressRelease/ - OMAHA, NE, June 06, 2007 - Adesta, LLC, a systems integrator and project management company for communication networks and electronic security systems, today announced that it has been awarded a $1.4 million contract from the Port of Houston Authority for the design, installation and integration of a sophisticated intelligent video security surveillance system (IVSS). Adesta's solution builds on the Port's existing security infrastructure to enhance the port-wide video management system, adding intelligent video capability and integration with the Port's existing access control systems. The expected project completion date is February 2008.

Adesta will work closely with Port of Houston Authority personnel to identify, design, install, test, provide training and document a fully integrated state-of-the-art, intelligent video surveillance system at the Port. The intelligent video surveillance system will provide continuous surveillance at all Port of Houston terminals enabling automated event detection and response to proactively address potential threats, promote optimal response to emergencies and facilitate investigations. The system will be installed to monitor the outputs of approximately 150 cameras at port terminals.
