Pachelle Marine Group (PMG) is a naval architecture firm that provides consulting services for marine and legal interests worldwide. As a marine consultant for the past 41 years, Dr. Doust now provides his expertise and works in Canada, U.S. and Europe on major ship and/or cargo damage events. He draws on 50 years of professional expertise in the marine industry. He once headed a team of naval architects, engineers and hydrodynamicists working on ship design problems, and tested ships in smooth and rough water under simulated model test conditions at the National Maritime Institute of U.K. He has published over 30 papers on ship design and marine propulsion and written two books, "The Expert Witness" in 1997 and "The Naval Architect" in 1998, which can be purchased through Pachelle.ca. He also figured in the Dictionary of International Biographies. Dr. Doust has done public speaking in the U.K. regarding naval architecture. He has appeared as an expert witness in both Canadian and United States courts.

Dr. Doust earned a Bachelor of Science with honors from Durham University, his M.Sc., and is Doctor of Science in naval architecture from the University of Trondheim (NTH). Committed to providing excellent training and education, he is a qualified marine arbitrator and member of the Canadian Maritime Law Association. Acknowledged for his excellence, he is an honorary member at the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and has been recognized in Lloyd's Top 100. When he is away from the office, Dr. Doust enjoys golfing and freemasonry events. He also participates in Royal Canadian Legion activities.
