HAMILTON, NJ, August 2, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carol Watson, Founder and Career Coach at CareerTransitions.co, was recently named a VIP member of Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
With 30 years of experience under her belt, Dr. Watson has been a professor of management at Rutgers University, Dartmouth College, and Rider University. She has taught management, leadership, and organizational behavior to undergraduates, MBA students, Ph.D. students, and Executive MBAs over her teaching career. Dr. Watson has also published her research on leadership and negotiation in scholarly journals and spoken at many academic and professional venues on this and related topics.
Recognizing that her university has a strong counseling program, Dr. Watson decided to learn more about career counseling as a way to help her undergraduate students develop clear career goals. After taking one counseling course, she loved it so much that she decided to pursue a post-master's degree in counseling. At this point, Dr. Watson already held a Ph.D. in social psychology, a Master of Arts in personality psychology, and a Bachelor of Arts in economics. She is now equipped with an education specialist degree in counseling as well.
Based on her counseling studies, Dr. Watson designed and implemented the Center for the Development of Leadership at Rider University to help students develop a clear image of where they are going in terms of education and career path, and to assist them in finding ways to pursue their leadership passion. At this point, Dr. Watson found her niche in career and life coaching.
She has been a faculty member at Rider University for 24 years, and is currently transitioning through a phased retirement from the school. She is now teaching part-time, and provides courses in management, leadership, organizational behavior, and career management. For the last three years, she has dedicated the rest of her time to building her coaching practice and establishing CareerTransitions.co. Through this company, she helps clients at early-, mid-, and late career stages manage their careers and find career options that best suit their personalities. Dr. Watson's coaching helps individuals achieve breakthrough career results.
Dr. Watson plans to see her business become well established and continue helping people who are seeking to find their path in life.
