Los Angeles, CA, August 10, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bonnie Lythgoe, the Director & Producer of Lythgoe Family Productions, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in family entertainment.

Lythgoe Family Productions focuses on providing television and stage entertainment that is suitable for the entire family to enjoy. With stories based on the Grimm fairytales, each story has been modernized and includes pop songs for kids. Ms. Lythgoe, whose responsibilities include choreographing stage productions and producing and directing musicals, uses her 30 years of experience specializing in dance, television and musical theater to create fun shows that are seen around the world.

This November, the live stage entertainment will be 'Snow White' at the Pasadena Playhouse in Pasadena, Calif. It's fun for both young and old and she is producing it with her son Kristopher Lythgoe.
Ms. Lythgoe has always loved entertainment. She recently directed a show for LA's BEST starring Stevie Wonder in 2011. She also served as a judge for So You Think You Can Dance, Australia. This year, Lythgoe Family Productions is filming a two-part behind the scenes series. It shows how Bonnie 'the Director' faces many different situations with the cast, the rehearsals, and the show. Entitled 'Opening Night' it will air in November on Ovation TV.

Bonnie attributes her success to her passion for the field, as well as her knowledge, loyalty and never-give-up attitude. She has always been involved in the dance world, and became involved in her profession after getting her start acting in a film with Sidney Poitier and then moving on to performing as a dancer in the UK BBC. She then progressed to choreographing theatrical musicals and staged many fashion shows and TV productions.

Ms. Lythgoe completed coursework at Corona Stage Academy and LAMDA. She is a member of the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing and has worked with Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York supporting the charity Children in Crisis in the UK. Bonnie loves charity work and enjoys working towards a better future for the young.

In the future, Ms. Lythgoe aspires to direct and produce more types of So You Think You Can Dance shows and produce more reality television as well as programs of her own. She also hopes to write her autobiography.
