SOMERSET, NJ, August 20, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carmen Paris-Hunter, ICBT, Owner, Therapist and Yoga Teacher for the Center for Neuro Muscular Therapy and Related Health Services, was recently named a VIP of the Year by Worldwide Who's Who. This special distinction honors individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to achieving personal and professional success.
Ms. Paris-Hunter has been involved in health and wellness for more than 40 years. For the past 21 years, she has served as the owner, therapist, and yoga teacher at the Center for Neuro Muscular Therapy and Related Health Services. She is expert in providing solutions to health problems. On a daily basis, she provides rehabilitative neuro muscular therapy in private practice, yoga education instruction to teachers, as well as instruction to children incorporating strategies for building motor and learning skills. In addition, she educates students in healthcare and yoga and uses integrated neuro muscular therapy as a key modality. Ms. Paris-Hunter handles the company's marketing, manages the website and conducts teaching workshops.
Ms. Paris-Hunter recently became a gym instructor for Somerset preschools and kindergartens. She has prior experience in early childhood education as a director at The Frog, a head-start preschool. She was also the first woman to speak at the Urban Childhood Education Conference in Georgia, about children and sexuality.
Attributing her success to her incredible teachers, clients and support, Ms. Paris-Hunter came into the world with a purpose. She became involved in her profession because when she was a modern dancer, her choreographer asked her to help the injured and she had great success.
Ms. Paris-Hunter is pursuing a Master of Science in Nutrition & Health from the Clayton College of Natural Health and in 1973 earned an Associate of Arts in Education from Cabrillo College. She holds many certifications in her field, including Certification in Advanced Cranial Sacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute International and Certification in Positional Release Therapy from the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health. She holds Advanced Professional Certification in Yoga, also from the Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and Certification in Muscle Release Therapy. Ms. Paris-Hunter is a member of the Yoga Education Association, Yoga Alliance, Sports Alliance, The Upledger Foundation and the Touch for Health Foundation. She also belongs to Associated Bodywork & Massage Professionals, The Hypnodyne Foundation and the Kripalu Yoga Teachers Association. She is a member of the Middlebush Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, The American Pain Foundation, International Association of Infant Massage Therapists and The International Association of Healthcare Practitioners, as well as the International Association of Counselors and Therapists.
