ROCKVILLE, MD, August 24, 2012 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sara Squires Davis, DPT, Clinical Director for Montgomery Therapy, LLC, has been recognized by Worldwide Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in physical therapy.
Dr. Squires Davis started working as a physical therapist 11 years ago and quickly combined her administrative functions with her clinical and strategic capabilities. For the past year, she has been working as the clinical director for Montgomery Therapy, LLC., a comprehensive outpatient rehabilitation facility that provides various physical therapy services. An administrator with experience handling conflict resolution in a peaceful manner, she is responsible for handling administrative functions of overall clinic production. In addition to overseeing staff management, patient care, staffing education and patient satisfaction, Dr. Squires Davis spends 80 percent of her time in the clinic seeing patients, and 20 percent of her time tracking outcomes and patient stats, hiring, strategic planning and implementing business development. In fact, she is in the process of opening up a second location for her clinic. Having achieved years of success, she credits her love for her job and what she does, being challenged and learning something every day. Looking ahead, she aspires to become a part-owner in the practice, continue publicly speaking and become proactive in the industry.
Dr. Squires Davis owes part of her success to her extensive education, which includes a doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from the University of Maryland. She holds certification in dry needling and trigger-point injection and is a certified manual therapist. Maintaining her professionalism, she is a member of the Phi Alpha Epsilon National Honor Society and the Golden Key International Honour Society. An avid public speaker, she was named Clinical Instructor of the Year as an invited guest lecturer at George Washington University in 2010. She has also spoken at Moca Moms in Silver Spring on prenatal and postpartum exercise, at Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and DC Fit on marathon runners and injury, and at the Department of Labor on workplace pitfalls. Away from work, Dr. Squires Davis supports research for childhood cancer, Daffodils & Diamonds and the National Foundation for Cancer Research. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her two children and participating in their school activities. To learn more about her, visit http://www.sarasquiresdavis.info.
